Northbrook is located 25 miles north of downtown Chicago at the northern border of Cook County. The Village features high value residential and complementary commercial and retail development. The Village is known for its outstanding school and park systems and large amounts of public open space.

Parks and Recreation

Schools

Elementary school students attend either Districts 27, 28, 30, or 31. High school students attend Glenbrook High School District 225 in nearby Glenview.

Transportation

Situated east of the Tri-State Tollway (294), west and south of Interstate 94 (Edens Expressway), an average drive time to the Loop of 1 hour from Northbrook. To get to O’hare it will take on average roughly 20 minutes while Midway is an hours drive. On the Metra, it is 40 minutes express to Chicago Union Station while the local is 50 minutes.
